One can never be too old to learn

Hello, everyone, I’m Vicky. I am glad to share something with you here.

Last year I quit my job and came to Kings. The first impression about Kings still rooted in my mind deeply. Here, I found that everyone can speak English well. They are so kind and so confident. I really admire them. Compared with them, I was too shy to speak anything.

No pains, no gains. I knew I must study harder than others if I want to make a great progress.

I made a plan and kept on it. Several months past, now I can speak English fluently and I’m glad about it.

I think I should thank Kings, for she affords us a good environment where we can speak English with great freedom. Secondly, I should thank all the teachers and tutors here, for they had taught me a lot. Then I should thank myself, for I did spend a lot of time studying English. I should appreciate myself about that.

I think in the past several months, I had not only learnt English well but also made a lot of friends here. Meanwhile, I had gained some other experience. Before I came to Kings, every time when I face a stranger I will be shy. Now the situation had changed. I’m more confident than before. I really enjoy my study here.

Here, I have some tips for your study.

Firstly, choose material which is suitable for you. Some persons, they are too eager to make a great progress, they choose some difficult material. Because they think they can have a high standard start, and make a great progress in this way. But I think it will has an opposite effect. It will make you lose your confidence. I recommend you New Concept English, now I start to learn NCE4, this set of book is very useful.

Secondly, be sure do everything step by step. I believe that one can never make a great progress overnight.

Thirdly, study regularly, it means you should keep on studying.
